Missouri maintenance eligibility
A Missouri court may award maintenance only after making the threshold findings in §452.335.
Missouri Revised Statutes §452.335 says a court may grant maintenance only if the requesting spouse lacks sufficient property, including marital property awarded to that spouse, to provide for reasonable needs and cannot support themselves through appropriate employment, or is caring for a child whose condition or circumstances make outside employment inappropriate. Missouri maintenance amount and duration
If the threshold findings are made, the court sets an amount and period it considers just after reviewing statutory factors.
The factors include the requesting spouse’s financial resources, education or training time, the spouses’ comparative earning capacity, marital standard of living, assets and obligations, marriage length, age and health, the payer’s ability to meet both parties’ needs, conduct during the marriage, and other relevant factors. Section 452.335 requires the maintenance order to state whether it is modifiable or nonmodifiable. The court may include a termination date, and a modifiable order may later be changed when the statutory requirements are met. [1]

Does Missouri have an alimony formula?
Missouri uses the term maintenance. Section 452.335 does not provide one statewide percentage formula for the amount or duration.
