Calculator Updates
Material changes to calculator rules, scope, and legal-source treatment are recorded here.
September 7, 2026 ยท Rules release 0.18.0
Completed the 51-jurisdiction portfolio consistency audit and remediation pass.
- Pennsylvania dependent-child support/APL cases now stop without a dollar result because the required combined child-support calculation is outside this site's scope.
- Utah now handles the January 1, 2026 same-spouse remarriage duration aggregation branch.
- New Mexico now uses a visitor-selected payment scenario rather than presenting the 2006 committee settlement percentages as the current calculator result.
- Illinois and Iowa now use the shared production route and launch indexation/canonical controls.
- New York's visible source list now matches its internal rules registry.
- All 51 pages now separate the state-specific public-source check date from the current calculator rules release.
How updates are handled
A software release number does not mean every state's law was re-researched on that release date. Each state page separately displays the date its public legal sources were checked.
